I took a break from producing content in January.

I was going through an extensive onboarding for a home health position. I have a new admiration for HH providers. The documentation requirements are incredible and have repeatedly kicked my butt.

My father-in-law’s declining health has put a strain on my wife’s family. I’ve needed to be available for a lot of long difficult conversations with Anne.

At the end of last year, I blocked out extended periods of time to reflect on what I’ve been doing with my online courses and coaching.

The push to quickly scale is so prevalent in business today. It seems everyone one is asking:

“Will it scale?”

They equate scale with success. Current advice says we all should rapidly scale so we can do more, earn more and have more.

It made me feel like I was missing out or not doing “it” right because in my heart I wanted contentment, not more.

I knew from experience that each scale comes with tradeoffs. The question that’s never asked is:

“What impact will this decision have on me as a person or the people I care the most about?”

In times of solitude and reflection, the essential question that I always come back to is:

“What do I feel called to do?”

I knew in my heart that more money or recognition was not what I wanted. My personal vocation is to develop relationships that continually allow me to have my heart transformed and to serve others in a way that leads to transformation.

I decided not to scale but to get better at helping one person. I’m trying to avoid the comparison trap by improving my service to the person I’m connected to right now.

I took a closer look at my website to see what I could to reduce the clutter, be clearer on who I am and who I help.

With the help of Artillery Media, we simplified my products and services so you can easily get the help you need. I’m now offering free strategy sessions so we can have conversations to help you take the next step in your career.

I’ve organized my blog posts and free stuff so you can quickly find the tools or how to’s to get work done to grow your practice.

It’s not finished yet, but  I’m sharing a sneak peek today. If you have any suggestions on how to make it better I’d love to hear from you.

I believe this approach gives us the best shot at a personal connection with another human being in need and increases the likelihood of a transformative experience for all of us.

This year will definitely look different, I’m excited to share it with you.

Thanks for being a co-journer with me,
